We would like to tell you a little about the activities and purpose of the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA).
The PTFA are a friendly, informal group, committed to making our school a fun place to grow, play and learn. All parents, family and friends are welcome to join. We have members with children in all years throughout the school and you can join at any time, whether your youngster is starting out in Reception or a seasoned Year Six! We even have parents whose children have left the school as well as ex-Rudyard pupils on our committee. Taking part is a great way to make new friends and be an active part of school life.
The PTFA committee generally meets about once a half-term and much of the communication is through email. Many parents join in a less time-consuming fashion too, by signing up as occasional and even at-home helper and are valuable team members involved on an event-by-event basis, depending on how much time they have to offer at that point.
Our aim is to support all the children of Rudyard Kipling Primary School by providing additional resources the school is not able to provide for with Government funding. This is achieved by our fun fundraising activities, such as our Mother and Father’s Day gift selling, discos, movie nights, Christmas magic show, Sports Day refreshment stall and many more fun activities.
All money raised goes directly back into making the school better for everyone.
We are looking forward to working together with you and your children and having lots of fun along the way!
If you would like to join us, you can give your email address to the school’s reception desk or email us on email@example.com. You can also find us on Facebook - we have a dedicated group for parents and carers of children at the school: RKPS Parents and Friends.
Stikins name labels are really good - you can stick them in clothes, shoes, lunchboxes, water bottles etc. and they stay stuck. The school gets a donation of 30% of your order total if you use our school commission code 17209.
